Owners Suite - navigator

Recommended Posts

Owners suites are really great. There is more storage room than you could ever use. The bathroom is large with both a tub and a shower...much larger than the showers in a balcony room. The be room is separate with a curtain that can be pulled across if someone wants to stay up while the other person retires. Has a large television and a comfortable sitting area. Also has a table and chairs if you want to eat in your room.

All that said, if your not planning to be in your room that much, I would try a junior suite. If you plan to spend lots of time in your room then go for it.

We had an OS on the Navigator on our last transatlantic. As mentioned, the cabin is very comfortable, and easily accomodates 8 to 10 in the living room, seated, or we have had as many as 35 for a stand up cocktail party.

We also like to dine in from time to time, and it's very comfortable to have another couple in for dinner. Room service will cater the dinner in courses, as you would find in the dining room.

Bring your favorite CD's as they have a player and surround style speakers.

An OS is by far our favorite type of suite, and most of the time at about half the price of the RS.

If you're looking to make it a special occasion, the OS certainly does the job. We decided to splurge at the last minute (we'd never had a real suite before) and got an OS on the hump (great location) this past January. As stated, the cabin has more room and storage space than we could ever use. The bathroom is huge, with two sinks, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The balcony extends the length of the room with sliders opening off the living room and bedroom areas. And we loved the proximity to the concierge lounge--we never had to make our own coffee--(there's a small coffee maker in the cabin) we could just zip down the stairs and grab a cup 24 hours a day.

A word of warning, though--we've done the JS on NOS and loved it but now, after the OS, I'm afraid we might be spoiled for life.
