shaw park Beach thru RC

Has anybody done the Shaw Park Beach excursion through RC, if so, could you please give me some information. Is it worth going? Thanks

We did Shaw Park Beach through RC a year ago on the Rhapsody. It took us only 15 minutes or less on the bus to reach the beach. It was pretty and safe there. They allowed a few vendors to set up shop, but they were not to approach us, we were to go to them if we wanted to purchase anything. There was also some security to keep locals off the beach. There were restrooms and showers available. We did just the beach, a chair, and a rum drink (we also purchased Red Stripe beer), but others on our cruise did the lunch also. We enjoyed the day and would probably do the same thing again if our upcoming May cruise went to Jamaica!
