RCI into giving me the lower price on my cabin? Yes, there is a star saying it is for new reservations, but I have to give it a shot. It is $60 total saved. What can I say to them to kinda push them in the "okay" direction?

Unfortunatly you can't say too much....the "humans" don't have the ability....the computers will not allow changes.... keep watching for another price drop that you are actually eligible for.

Have you called and been told no already? If you haven't, just try calling and asking for the price drop. Many times they will give it to you no questions asked even with the notation for new bookings only.

Just keep calling until you get the right person .. they always have the ability to do a manual adjustment.

Are you talking about the price when you check on the website? If yes, call!! I just did it for my daughter's cruise and they gave me the lower price (after final payment) even though there is an * .

I guess it would also make a difference how far out the cruise is. If it is out beyond the cancellation penalties, you should get the lower price.

If it is for new bookings only they won't budge, I tried everything, went as high up with supervisors as I could.No luck.

Despite what the web site says, the only sale prices that truly cannot be changed to are the Tuesday Royal Sales event pricing. If a lower senior, military, resident rate opens up - you may have it!

They DO give the discount sometimes even though there is an *. On our last 2, they gave it to me....one was almost $600 and the other was $300. Maybe I have simply been lucky and gotten just the right person but whatever...I was happy. No discounts this time as it appears our cruise on Sovereign 3/3 is sold out. Boo-hoo.
