malindac Posted February 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 29, 2008 We are going on the Sapphire Princess on Nov. 29, 2008. I know the Kids Club is great during school breaks and summer. But how is it when most kids are in school? My daughter is 9. Thanks!
EscapeCruises Posted February 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 29, 2008 You always going to find kids on the bigger ships, especially to the Mexican Riviera - lots of families. They will always have the kids club open, the only ones that have a requirement for a minimum number of kids to be onboard are the small ships - Royal, Tahitian and Island Princess. She'll have a great time. Also, you are cruising around Thanksgiving, so you can be sure to have kids onboard.
whale-watcher Posted March 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2008 My kids actually preferred the kids club on Princess when there were fewer kids on board (we homeschool, and often travel during the "off" season). Our last 2 cruises have been during holiday periods, and the kids/teen activities were too crowded and impersonal for their tastes.
megnsamsgracie Posted March 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2008 Same here! We went on Costa when kids sailed free and I expected a ton of kids but since school was still in, it wasnt bad! My kids had an awesome time and I think at most there were 50-75 kids!
cjh Posted March 2, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2008 I always take my kids out of school to cruise. My youngest is 10 and has always had about 15 kids in her group.
