kathylee Posted March 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2008 We would love to take advantage of the cheap bus fare. I went to a Barbados tourism site and it says that the public transportation only accepts local currency. Where would we convert our American dollars? Any other advice on how to use the public buses would be appreciated :)
mcmarya Posted March 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2008 You can convert money at the pier. If you take one of the mini-buses, they will take American money. When we were there in December, it was 75 cents per person USD. We gave the driver $2 and he insisted on giving change.
melissaff24 Posted March 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2008 sO would it be wiser for someone who has never been to Barbado's before, to take a mini bus or a taxi to Accra beach? I read other posts where people took buses but had to treck through town to get to the bus station, i'm trying to avoid the stress of this. However, i would love to spend $2 over $40 to get to this beach. any suggestions?
