Roostermom,

 

You'll have a blast ziplining anywhere you decide to go in CR. Its one of my favorite places to visit, and one of my favorite things to do. I've travelled there many times and have never taken any sort of pills. There's no need to unless you are staying in a remote "high risk" area..imo. Malaria pills are extemely hard on ones body, so best take them if they are absolutely necessary. I don't know how long you're staying but if you're there for more than a day, maybe bring some insect repellent with Deet.
