Whicn beach to choose in Nassau?

I need some help ASAP. Family members are in Nassau for the day on Friday. They want to go to a beach for the day. Whicn beach should they pick and how do they get there from the port? They were considering going to British Colonial Hilton--costs are good for what you get, but is the water the beautiful blue for them to swim in? They want to be in beautiful blue water! Please advise! Thanks.

BCH is gorgeous and right next to the port, but it's a quiet, low-key beach. The other beaches (Cable etc.) have more water sports if your family is looking for activities. There's lots of info about the different beaches on the Bahamas port of call board.
