Two blocks past the BCH is a free beach we visit each year. Nothing fancy but same water you are paying $$ to swin in. If you look at the photo the BCH is the building with the Orange roof. You will see a retaining wall sticking out into the water where the free beach starts.

our travel agent advised to take the cab ride to Cable Beach. BCH is fine, but the beach in that area won't blow you away. Same water as where the ships dock and water not as clean. He advised that Cable Beach is much nicer.

The Wyndham pool has a slide that can entertain the kids for a long time. If it is the same as last year, you can use some other really beautiful pools at the Sheraton and a beautiful beach.

The BC is nice but seems more adult

To get to the Wyndham, you could walk into town and take the jitney for $1 per person and enjoy the 20 or so minute ride along the water. Places to eat may be more limited once you get away from downtown, but you can get food by the pool or a pizza inside the hotel.
