George Town Dock?

Hi,

Do anyone hear about new dock is being built in George Town? I've read at one web site(can't locate it anymore):(

If it's true, when they're going to be ready to dock?

We're going there on Jan 2009 for my first cruise and hope it's not my last.

gonna have to be one LONG dock. We didn't see any signs of it two weeks ago, oops three weeks now. the water is very shallow, they'll either have to dig a channel or make a long long dock. I don't see it.

The Cayman Islands government periodically reconfirms a commitment to building a dock. Last year one newspaper mistakenly reported that announcement and said a dock had been completed. That's simply not true. What had been completed was a dock for the tender boats which transfer passengers to shore.

 

No cruise dock for berthing ships has yet been begun. If and when such a project commences it will be readily apparent. I will take a long time before any dock is ready.
