Cruise insurance

I will be taking a cruise with my DH and sister-in-law in late July. We have just found out that their granpa was diagnosed with an illness and probably will not recover. We did not purchase insurance when we booked the cruise directly with RCI. My question is can we still purchase insurance? Unfortunately he probably won't make it until July but you never know!

You can purchase insurance on your own. I know travel guard is one of the big ones. Just google or yahoo travel insurance.

Have you made final payment? I'm pretty sure you can add it up until the time that you make final payment. I am cruising b4 you and my final payment isn't due until May 4 so I am assuming you haven't made yours yet either.

Yoy may not be covered even if you purchase now. The condition is now pre-existing at the time of booking the insurance and most insurance won't cover you if you book now knowing he is ill.

 

You have to call the insurance company before you book anything to find out if you will coverage.

cruise insurance is much like those appliance extended warranties..just when you decide it s not needed.. :confused:
