We just returned from a cruise on the Pearl. We found that the restaurants that did not charge a cover charge were not that desirable.

Thanks so much for this info. I had heard from someone that they thought you could make reservations for certain restaurants before the cruise. Is that true? I did check NCL's website and didn't find any way to do that.

Although we haven't been on the Pearl, my husband felt that way on the Dawn. I on the other hand didn't. :D However, we do not mind paying the extra and going to the speciality resturants.
