I posted this in the ports of call section and no answers, hoping to get some here before they move it:o

I see the Brimmer Hall Estate excursion for our June cruise on the CCL website, anyone ever done it? What's the difference between it & the Rose Hall Estate? I know what the Rose Hall Estate is, but what is the Brimmer Hall Estate? I don't see any Rose Hall excursions listed, any advice on how to do that one?

We're looking for something to do in Ocho Rios and aren't into Dunn's River Falls, unfortunately, that's what everything centers around. Any ideas?

I can't help you much with a comparison but I can tell you about Brimmer Hall. We took a tour that included Brimmer Hall, Dunns River Falls and shopping.

Brimmer Hall is the site of an old Jamacian plantation. We were toured around in an open air jutney (tractor pulling an open air car). Along the way we were shown crops that are grown on the plantation. We also stopped a couple of times to taste the crops. The tour gave history of the plantation and the island. It was informative. I don't remember actually remember going into the home. We could walk around the back to see the pool. There was some shopping in one of the outbuildings. We liked the tour. Hope this helps you some.
