Questions about Fun Ship Dollars/Sign & Sail

My daughter and her husband will be taking their first cruise with us next January. She wants to prepay on her Sign & Sail card while she's paying for her cruise. I told her to buy funship dollars a few at a time. Is there any other way to prepay on your account ahead of time?

suggestion............

get travelers checks and hold on to them until cruise time (most banks offer them free to those who have accounts)

I've found that if I "stash" the cash, theres always a few times we "dip" into the can... with travelers checks... cant take out a few bucks ;)
