We just got off the Emerald on Saturday and this is the first time we've been able to use our cruise cards in the casino.

 

Very easy, you put your card in the machine, and it walks you thru the set up, and you can put money in the machine and then transfer it to your card and switch machines easily, transferring the money from your card to the machine.

 

There is the option of getting money from your 'ship board account' but they charge 3% for this. We just used it as a convenience of putting in cash, but not having to cash out in coins. It let's you change machines quick and easy, just like the tickets do in Vegas.

 

You leave your card in the machine while you play to accumulate points. For every 1000 points you get, you get $10.00 added to your slot machine, which you can use or transfer back to your card. They had gifts for hitting certain levels of points by a certain time. One gift was a deck of cards. They also had t-shirts, hats, key chains, pens, that all say Ocean Players Club on them.

 

I liked how it worked, it was easy and you actually get some return for you points. My mom had around 13,000 points by the end, and so it returned $130. to her, that she'd never gotten before. I think I only accumlated 1300 points, but I still got the $10.00 back. I don't gamble as much ;)
