mrgoins Posted March 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2008 We will be traveling north bound on Coral Princess in late May, arriving a day early in Vancouver. We have a five year old daughter and were wondering if a child booster seat is required in Vancouver in the taxis. If not we are very hesitant to take the booster as we can't use on plane, no belts on the buses or train from what we understand for the land portion of the trip. So we would be toting around a booster seat for two weeks for 10 minutes worth of cab ride. TIA if anyone has experience in Vancouver with this. I do know that some cities do require them and others don't so wanted to check.
Putterdude Posted March 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2008 Here is a link to a news release on the use of child booster seats here in BC. From this you will be able determine if your daughter will require one. However as the regulation only becomes effective in July it would seem that you could sneak in under the wire. http://www.sickkids.ca/SKCForMedia/custom/BCBoosterSeatLeg_press%20release.pdf
