AggieFamily Posted March 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2008 Has anyone done this excursion? I would love reviews, trying to decide between this and Dune Buggy and Beach Exploration Thanks so much! Just did this excursion March 14 from the Voyager. We arrived in port late so we were a bit rushed, but made it back to the ship with 15 min to spare. The bus ride to the carts was a good 1.5 hours long, but our guides tried to fill the time with information (history/ecology) about the area. They stopped and grabbed some hot tortillas for us to snack on. We were given our life jackets and snorkle gear at a small home, then took the horse drawn cart ride 20 minutes to the first cenote. Rough ride. Don't do it if you have back problems or loose fillings  . All in our group thought the cenotes were pretty amazing. Water was a little chilly, no fish to see. Many adults/kids were jumping off platforms and ledges on the sides into the water. Then we got on the carts again to reach the next cenote. It was amazing too. A cool place for adventurous people. Wish we had that extra hour there. Let me know if you want photos.
