Soda

Recommended Posts

Just read here about someone that said the porter would not take the water or soda if it was not in a box or bag. I think they were afraid the package could break open or something so they suggested it go inside a bag with proper labels/room tags.

What we've done on other lines is bought 4 12-packs, and duct-taped and shrink-wrapped them together. Under the last layer of shrink wrap, we put our luggage tag. Never had a problem, and didn't have to bring an extra suitcase. But it sounds like no one's done this successfully on Carnival, so we may have to rethink.

There were 8 of us traveling together, so take that in mind. We made 2 different bundles. There were taped together with strong packing tape. Each bundle had a case of water and 2 or 3 12-packs of soda. We taped a luggage tag to each bundle and gave them to the porter with our suitcases. They all arrived safe and sound to our cabins.
