Sugar Cane Train

Has anyone ridden the Sugar Cane Train in Lahaina? There is not a tour for it, but thought we could take a cab to the station? Can you give me an idea of how far it would be?? My Mom remembers riding this train many years ago when Mom and Dad were in Hawaii and if possible she would like to do it again. I think the the ship stops for an 8 to 5 day. That should be lots of time to go off and do this on our own, at least I hope so! :eek:

If you are stopping in Lahaina.....the train is only about 1 mile from the harbor. A taxi will work fine. If you will be stopping in Kahului, that is another story. That is about 20 miles away.
