Hi,

We'll be staying at the Casablanca on the ocean (two nights pre-cruise), and I haven't heard much about this hotel on here... I've heard bad things about this hotel on Tripadvisor.com....and was just wondering if anyone here has stayed at this hotel before? What did you thinK? Was there much to do in that part of Miami? It's located on Collins Ave. and 63rd street......

Can't help ypu with any current info, but for a bit of trivia. I met my husband there almost 39 years ago. Of course, then, it was a beautiful hotel. About 20 years ago we drove by and went in. It was a transient hotel with a hearse in the driveway. Unless you know this hotel has had some current major work, I would pass. Also the beach was virtually gone.

Hi! I stayed at the Casablanca last Sat night (11-20) after my cruise on the ...Norwegian Sun. It was very nice & the people there were very accomodating & pleasant. The lobby is beautiful & the pool area is great. The beach is beautiful with easy access. The rooms are a bit older & could use some updating & repainting, but they are large, bright & airy. The neighborhood seemed safe to me--lots of beachfront condos. It is an excellent value for a reasonable price. I would stay there again.
