While I'd choose something about an hour later [this Los Angeles resident knows how much of a "zoo" LAX can be], you'll probably have no problems with a 12:40pm flight

we debarked in san pedro off the Star and caught a 1:00 flight with

hr s to spare :o ..we sat around for 3 hr s waiting on our southwest flight..

it s easy to get paranoid from some of the reading..ship s can be delayed but, id say thats more of a rarity..

I can get a flight out of LAX at 12:40 pm is that giving me enough time to disembark the Pride and make my flight with out running around like a mad man?

Sure you can but...

...you're cutting it a little close.

In any case, regardless of what time your flight is, you need contingency plans. In your case you really need them. Make your arrangements with the assumption that you'll miss your flight (i.e. pay more for a reschedule-able/refundable ticket) and scope out all the later flights. Know where each airline's hub is and if there are flights to your home from them.
