Baja Mexico 2009

What ship will be taking over the Baja Mexico (3-4 nights) from Los Angeles in 2009?

I don't think they've said if there be be 3-4 nighters out of LA anymore. Mariner is taking over the 7 night from Vision, though.

Your only option for the specified itinerary at this time is the Carnival Paradise out of Long Beach.

we are going on Marierner of the seas of Mexican Rivera on Aug 16, 2009, this is 7 nights.:D

since RC said they were losing $$ on that route they moved Monarch and have not named a ship, or published plans to even continue the route

Don't know how they could lose money! I've been on that cruise 4 times, and my 5th time in 3 weeks....it's always booked solid :rolleyes: !

That's why I asked the question...because I have been on twice this year, last time I was on an RCI 3 day it was 12 years sgo....so even though we got great cabin prices, less expensive then years ago if I remember correctly........the way the drinks were flowing and the casino was packed I can't imagine that revenue was the issue......now it is possilbe they can make more up front going to Panama, but their clientel will certainly not be drinking or gambling as much...... I went on both the 3 and 4 day and I have never seen people use their cruise cards for purchases as much as I have seen on the Monarch...

I just can't see Royal Caribbean leaving this route solely to Carnival...

When I heard that the Monarch was leaving and that there will be no RCI short cruises I was really saddened. I emailed Adam Goldstein just to get my voice out there. I had sailed on the Monarch twice and I had plans to sail on her again and again. I really hope RCI will reconsider returning 3-4 night cruising on the West Coast. 4 night Monarch cruises were my cruise fix in between longer sailings--it was affordable, fun and defnititely a full ship when I have sailed on her.
