Mariner Room Choice

For those familiar with the Mariner-Are there any advantages to a PH "C"? I realize it is a PH size cabin without butler service. TA convienced us to purchase a PHC GTY I think in hopes of getting an upgrade to A or B. We were assigned PHC room 920. I think on hindsight I may have just paid the extra dollars. Not sure that we would really take advantage of the butler and not so sure we really "needed" the extra space. What do you think?

We were in a PH B on the Mariner in December and on into January. We liked it so much we arranged for the same thing for next year. The space is just the right amount for a week or two. We find the butler to be very useful. To me the cabin size required is largely determined by the length of the voyage.

Hi We had a Penthouse C on the Mariner 19 day Auckland to LA last December. It is our absolute favorite cabin on the ship! Loads of space, closet, nice balcony , and we do not need the services of a butler. You will love it! Highly recommend it and I'd book it in a minute again.

Gardening Girl -- We are on the 6/25 Vancouver to Seward cruise. Really looking forward to Alaska--really enjoy the good life along the voyage!

Hi, Docmsf. If you mean the 5/27/08 Vancouver to Seward cruise (not 5/25), we have a roll call started. The title is "Roll Call Mariner Alaska 5/27/08" and the last post, currently on page 2 about 2/3 of the way down, was on March 8th. If you will be joining us on the cruise, why not join KenBT, ArMaui, Mikenbob, and us on the roll call? Joe
