I have not been able to find much posted here on Chios. We are on Azamara Journey in September, 08 with a stop in Chios.

 

Has anyone been to Chios and if so, what are your recommendations?

You're right, not much out there. I'd never heard of it before.

 

They do have a website, but I couldn't get it to work in English.

Found this website, with a little info. Hopefully someone will come on that knows this island.

I was told best bet is to rent a car (not expensive) and go to Komi beach. Also caves to sight see and have lunch before going back to ship.:o

We rented a car (25 euros for a standard, from Chandris) and had a really enjoyable day. We visited Nea Moni, stopped at some of the mastic villages and at a couple of beaches to see them (it was October, so a little cool for swimming). A very scenic island!
