You go ahead and call me any nasty things you like....I am an adult and can take it. But please leave references to the Special Olympics and "nobody wins" out. I happen to volunteer for the Special Olympics every summer, and my best friend has a very special child with Downs Syndrome. To say "nobody wins" in reference to them is simply ignorant and cruel. Participate in the National Buddy Walk one year. The Special Olympics are a wonderful, special time in their lives.

Furthermore, I was responding to a very very very negative post by a very confrontational person, and it had absolutely nothing to do with you, so to throw around pithy little comments is both unnecessary and unwarranted.

Last summer we were on the 5 day Victory to Canada and were blessed with fabulous weather. We all thought we were in the Carib.! Now my question is we are a family with 4 DD's ranging in age from 7 to 17. 2 of the dd's still need my assistance when getting lunch on the Lido deck. Now the lines are super long and people push alot so it takes around an hour to gather food get a table, eat and return to the chair. We might even want to relax for 10 minutes or so before leaving the table, going to the bathroom and returning to the chairs. I think that this summer when we go on the Freedom in the Med that I will possibly leave a sign saying what time we left, where we are and when we expect to return. Considering the time involved in actually eating in the Lido, do you think one hour would be too long to leave all of our stuff on the chair? What I am saying is yes, 6am saving is totally ridiculous but we must be considerate of families or couples or friends that have just left their chair to eat and have gotten caught up in the Lido crowds (also, what if they went to the dining room?) I say during the midday we should respect this unfortunate fact that the dining areas are very very crowded and not rush to throw someone's stuff overboard. So what is the answer? I am perplexed here. BTW, the sun deck is usually available isn't it? Why not utilize it or do you find those chairs hogged as well? What might be a thought would be for Carnival to assign chairs to cabins. No the sun worshippers would get mad if they were not in the sun and vice versa. Years ago at some la di da resort in Miami I recall that in order to get a chair you needed to be escorted to the chair by the pool attendant. Tip expected. How about those that just must have a chair actually reserve them (yes, for a fee or maybe not) Just like golf tee times. Carnival could actually have enough chairs for everyone or at least have extras around in an emergency. Just some thoughts but for us this summer in the Med, just fresh air, great ports, chairs on the sun deck, not too much baking in the sun and watching the kids on the slide and oh yes, making afternoon tea on sea days!;)

Sorry, but I have NEVER backed down to bullies, and that is what is going on here. I simply believe that no one died and made you God. You have no right to touch belongings which do not belong to YOU. You are not the chair police, and it is NOT up to YOU to decide when a chair has been vacant long enough to move someone else's belongings. You started a very confrontational post, and now that you have been confronted, you choose to resort to petty name calling and insults.
