Future Bookings on board

What kind of offers does SS have for booking future cruises while you are on board? Do they offers get better closer to the end of the cruise?

The onboard cruise consultant usually circulates a list of offers during the cruise. Typically these are 2% or 5% off a longish list (dozens) of future cruises. You can add the 2% or 5% to any other discounts you're entitled to receive, including the perennial "silver savings" special offers. The offers don't get better later in the cruise.

 

There used to be a blanket 2% minimum discount on any cruise booked on board: that was quietly dropped a couple of years ago.

Thank you. Do they give shipboard credits like the other lines when you book a cruise in advance?

I did get a shipboard credit once in the past as part of the "Friends of the Society" program -- when you introduce other people new to SS, and you all travel together -- but I don't recall any shipboard credits being part of onboard offers.

We booked a B2B to the Med next year whilst on board and saved 5% on top of the other discount you get for booking early.

We thought it was a good deal and gives us something else to look forward to.

If I remember correctly, there used to be a standard extra discount for booking back-to-back cruises, but now it's available only on "selected" cruises. Still, it's good when you see the discounts adding up.
