itninja Posted March 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2008 Headed to cozumel over April Break, and will be using the cozumel stop with RCI as a shoping/bar type stop, and will not be taking any official shore excursions. Any good tips on a few good mexican bars to hit? Also looking for a nice place, not to expensive for lunch, but perhaps with a good view.
itninja Posted March 31, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted March 31, 2008 How about just food? Anyone has suggestions for a good place on the water for lunch?
jetskier Posted March 31, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2008 How about just food? Anyone has suggestions for a good place on the water for lunch? The one place on the water is Margaritaville other than the beach places way south of town. Most of the restaurants are further inland. http://www.casadenis.com is a good place to eat. If you just want to hit the bars, try http://www.cozumelbarhop.com Dave
crazybus Posted April 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2008 If you want a wild place go to Carlo's and Charlie's.
funtobehad Posted April 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2008 If you are looking for somewhere to have a good laugh and enjoy the colorful surroundings Carlos and Charlies is the place to go, do not go if you are the shy type:D
itninja Posted April 1, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Definitely looking for something that is waterfront but not too pricey or dress up like. Looking for something that is I guess unique and that I wouldn't get at home here, but I don't want to pay a fortune if possible. Thanks!
peanut11 Posted April 1, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Take a ride up to Panchos Backyard. Wonderful Mexican restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. The best big Margaritas I have had. Tourists love it once they find it. We go every stop in Cozumel.
2PinaColadas Posted April 2, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Margaritaville was on the water, near the port. We walked back to our ship from there. It is a good place to hang out and have a drink. We loved the atmosphere and staff there too. The Punta Lagosta shopping center was nearby. Carlos and Charlies was okay for a little bit, but a little much for us-- the Spring Break crowd was a little too wild. Have fun!!
Cozumello Posted April 2, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 2, 2008 An absolute must for good food, great atmosphere, drinks and one of the best views of Cozumel is at Coconuts Restaurant, on the other side of the island..a must visit-one!! Send your experience about this place, it is one of a kind, people say the highest point of Cozumel..good luck!
itninja Posted April 6, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Coconuts looks like a cool place, and it has good reviews online. Kinda what I'm looking for in outdoor seating with a view. NOW-- How do I get there once I get off the ship??
