Labadee Zip Line - Dragons Breath

Due to the news of the zip line failure last week, and the front page story on CC, I'm currently booked to go on the dragon breath shore excursion, and plan to keep my booking. I'm however wondering in the back of my mind, as to how safe this one is?

 

Has anyone taken it, and know if it's inspected and all okay and certified?

 

I'm sure it's all up to par, given its a RCI sanctioned shore excursion...

I posted the thread below last summer after we visited Labadee. Our son rode it and enjoyed it.

 

My wife and I, being older and wiser, did not ride it. We hung out in the Dragon's Breath Bar!

 

I was impressed with the design of the entire system and the way they had riders do a training ride on a short zip line.

Thanks for the great info. It does look well constructed. Perhaps a better road up to it is in order, however.

 

From your thread I noticed that they sometimes drop the weight limit randomly to 200 lbs.

 

I can't make 200 lbs. I'm 210. Did they do that on your cruise? Anyone know what type of humidity and wind affect the weight limit?
