saabdued Posted April 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Hello, I would appreciate your advice. Staying for two nights post Alaska cruise in June. From what I read online, liked the location and the reasonable price of $189 plus tax a night. Plans are to see Granville Island, Gastown, China Town, Stanley Park, etc. Anyone have any useful comments or opinions about my choice of a hotel, or other lodging accommodations? Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your time. The only issue with the Quality Inn - Downtown is that it is on the Howe Street on ramp to the Granville St. Bridge and it is a major southbound traffic artery out of the downtown core. If you have a west facing room you should be ok but an east facing room you will be subject to the traffic noise. Other hotels that you may want to consider are the Best Western- Downtown on Drake St., the Pacific Palisades or the Blue Horizon on Robson St. The Robson St. hotels would put you in the middle of downtown Vancouver's shopping and restaurant neighbourhood. I saw some rates at the BW-Downtown last week for mid-June for $130 with a AAA or AARP card.
