Steve3589 Posted April 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Ok, we cannot go til August 8th and the kids start back to school on August 25th. So we have a very small window here!! Like to have at least a 5 day cruise. We live in NC and will drive to Florida and dont want to have to drive to Miami but any other ports are okay. Kids are 2, 6 and 10 and want a ship that will entertain them. We have never been on a cruise before. Like to stay under $3k for this trip. Are the prices on the cruise line web site as good as they get?? Also, I'm ex military so this might help me get a lil better price. Thanks for all the help!! Iannie Posted April 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2008 We just cruised Carnival, all 5 of us. My dh is active and we received a great military rate with them. We went out of San Diego, maybe to far for you, but we did a 5 day to Mexico. My kids are 12,7,6 and camp Carnival is and was all they talk about. We had a cabin with 2 twin beds, 2 bunkbeds and 1 what we called little bed for our 6 year old. He loved having his own bed. Your window is small but I'm sure you can find something fun for everyone. Call Carnival and asked about what ships are offering the military discount. We love Royal Caribbean but can't ever seem to get a military discount with them. Happy Cruisen. Steve3589 Posted April 4, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Looks like we will do the Carnival Inspiration out of Tampa in August. Received pricing from CruiseComplete, just wondering if this company a good one to deal with? Thanks

Thanks We can neither confirm nor deny that. ;) On CC they don't allow us to mention specific booking agencies. :) Take the price you received from that "unnamed travel agency" and call Carnival directly and see if they can match the price. I like to deal with the cruiselines directly if I can.
