Jackale Posted April 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2008 So Dh and I and our two daughters 19 & 16 are taking our first cruise out of Miami for three days to the Bahamas, my daughters are a little concerned about what they will or will not be able to do...As the drinking age in Canada is 19 - my oldest is wondering if they really check hard at ages or do they simply turn the other way if you look old enough? Same too for the entertainment that is restricted to over 18? do they check id's at the door? Just wondering - as i have no problem with them partaking in everything on board, how strict is Carnival? Drinking age is 21. Your daughter will not be able to buy a drink on board. You must be 18 to be in the Casino and adult comedy shows, ID is checked at the door of the Disco after 10? PM. Peery5 Posted April 4, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Our daughters were 20 and 17 last year on our cruise on Miracle. They look enough alike that our 17 year old used the 20 year olds passport to get in and the 20 year old used her drivers license to get in. They just didn't go in at the exact same time and after a couple of nights they quit checking. Don't know if your girls can get away with but it worked for mine. As far as drinking they could not buy on their own as the s/s cards notifies the bartender that you are under age. They didn't seem to have a problem getting drinks bought for them though.
