Dress Code

My husband and I are going on the Adventure of the Seas for our first cruise. My question is about the dress code. Is it necessary to wear a formal (long) dress for both the formal nights or will one long/one short do. Also, does it get chilly at night when you are out at sea. Will I need to bring a few sweaters for the evening? Will I be too warm if I was to wear a sweater set for dinner? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

You can wear either. I have worn both long, both short cocktail type dresses and even very dressy pants outfits. Satin pants and very fancy tops are also worn by many.

I find the ships are kept quite cool and I always bring some type of a wrap. I actually prefer longer sleeves to short because of the constant air conditioning.
