jmbegs Posted September 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2004 My husband and I are going on the Adventure of the Seas for our first cruise. My question is about the dress code. Is it necessary to wear a formal (long) dress for both the formal nights or will one long/one short do. Also, does it get chilly at night when you are out at sea. Will I need to bring a few sweaters for the evening? Will I be too warm if I was to wear a sweater set for dinner? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks. Alexis Posted September 30, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2004 You can wear either. I have worn both long, both short cocktail type dresses and even very dressy pants outfits. Satin pants and very fancy tops are also worn by many. I find the ships are kept quite cool and I always bring some type of a wrap. I actually prefer longer sleeves to short because of the constant air conditioning.
TonyaJune Posted September 30, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2004 You will be fine in either a long or short dress. There is a variety of both on the formal nights. I would also bring a sweater because it does get quite cool inside the ship.
critterchick Posted September 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Bring a sweater, but prepared to take it off! We found on Radiance that the dining room temperature varied widely from night to night & in different parts of the room.
