crystalh256 Posted April 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2008 I am a first time cruiser and sailing on the Holiday on 5/10. My question is when booking my excursion thru the company instead of Carnival how do I know what time to book vs ship time. I assume ship time is that of the port the ship originates from, am I correct? Thanks!!
zuzu320 Posted April 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2008 :) You are correct, ship time is the same as the port of departure. When you book an excursion indendently the tour operator will make sure you are aware of the time difference. Don't worry the tour operator will know the ships time. So, who are you using to book your tour?

This one is just for Dolphin Discovery.....finally convinced DH we would be able to do this on our own and not miss the ship...... the $160 savings helped also!!!:p
rgwiazdzinski Posted April 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2008 we booked independently in cozumel for our upcoming cruise in may. when i picked the excursion time, the tour operator emailed me back saying i would be better off with a different time because of the time difference (which i had not thought about). they don't want you to be late back to a ship since it would be bad for their business:D
