Best beach with 10 month old??

I also posted this on the family site but though I would get some input here also...

I am wanting to take our 10 month old to a beach during our cruise (will be his first beach!) and I thought Antigua might be the best bet since it is known for all of its beaches.

Does anyone have any advice for which beach would be best with infant?? I would like something as close to pier as possible with as safe of drive as possible and with calm water so he can get in in his float....

Runaway Bay Beach and Carlisle Bay are two that come to mind for what you are looking for. Runaway is closer and a few more people around probably. It is the beach between Fort James beach and Dickinson. It is a fairly long beach and we spent our time at the end closest to Dickinson.

Thanks for the advice! I will probably do Runaway then...that was one that was already on my list.:)
