Days Inn North Beach Oceanfront (Miami)

Anyone stayed here? It seems to be reasonably well reviewed on tripadvisor, but I haven't seen it mentioned on CC boards.

hi, is this the thunderbird days inn on n. miami beach? i know there is one down farther too. we stayed at the thundebird which is really in sunny isles, its all miami beach. i can give u the 411 on days inn thunderbird..its about 40 min from the port.

Nope, I'm pretty sure this is the one farther down. It's right by Normandy Island.

Hmm, looked into this a little further, and there's complaints of crackheads and prostitutes in the area. Not worth the risk on my honeymoon, so I've sucked up the travelocity cancel fee and switched to the Sofitel Miami. (Surprisingly at an almost identical price!)

u will be much happier there!! i had checked out that days inn b4 our last cruise too...eeewww scary. have a nice cruise.
