St. Thomas..time zone question

Our itinerary on Carnival says that we are arriving in St. Thomas at 9am. Will this be the actual time on the island in May? I'm trying to book an excursion with a local dive shop and the website warned to check time changes- apparently alot of people miss their excursions due to this! Thanks!

They are Atlantic Standard Time, but do not follow Day Light Savings, so this time of the year, they are the same as Eastern Daylight Savings,

In the summer they are the same as ship time

In the winter they are an hour ahead of most ship times

this is correct. The winter time difference is done so that there is another hour of daylight at the end of the day for tourists.
