vfb2girls Posted April 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2008 We will be sailing on the Legend this November and I would like to hear if anyone has ever booked a cave tubing excursion through Carnival and enjoyed themselves. I hear so much about how bad the ship excursions are and was wondering if anyone had a positive experience with a ship sponsered excursion. Any info, good or bad would be appreciated. Thank you. driftwood Posted April 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2008 . . . the guides who do the ship excursions are very experienced, responsible and reliable, which is not true of all the independents. What problems arise are usually a result of the POPULARITY of the excursion among cruiseship passengers, which means that the groups are often huge compared with those of the independents; and although the ship excursion-sponsored companies are capable of fast response to enormous groups and can accommodate them, they are unable to change the size of the caves, so that things can get a little crowded. Even waiting for a large group to assemble or reassemble is, as you might suppose, rather time-consuming. It is something to consider but not to worry about very much.
