La Spezia / Taormina

Are these two ports easily navigatable on my own? Otherwise, which shore excursions do you recommend?

 

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

You can easily do Taormina on the local bus for just "pennies"

 

Its a lovely town to wander all its streets

 

Obviously you will need Euros but the local bus is excellent and can be caught not far outside the port

 

I do not know about La Spezia but am sure its just as accesible

 

We did the Med cruise on O last year and did not take one ships tour ........all the ports are great to walk around and local buses in Italy etc are easy to catch
