We've sailed on NCL Dawn twice (3rd time this June) with our kids. The first time, they were 2 and 7; the next time 4 and 9; this time they'll be 5 and 10. And, we were very impressed with the Kid Crew. We couldn't keep them outta there! They loved it. The staff was very accommodating and well trained. It's very safe. No one can get into the kids area there without going through the front desk (guarded by a counselor at all times; and has a locked gate). When you show up, the counselors escort the kids to their respective areas. When you show up to pick up, they bring the kids to you. And, they require your S&S card and photo ID for pick the first few times until they get to know you.

The entire staff on board treated our kids great! When we had meals in the restaurants with our kids, the service with quick and efficient. When it was just the 2 of us, the service was slower, unobtrusive and intimate. They really know how to anticipate the passengers' needs. I highly recommend the Dawn (or any of their newer ships).

We've also been to Bermuda twice (once without the kids and once with). Loved it both times. Going for 3 days this June and can't wait. I highly recommend the BAMZ (Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo). Your kids will love it!!!

Hi,

I cruised on the NLC Dawn for 11 days with my daughter (just the 2 of us) she was 6 at the time. It is a great ship for kids. There is a kids pool and the kids club was very safe and clean. They even had a kids section of the buffet with kids food, little chairs and tables. The staff was very friendly. We like it so much we are sailing the spirit in May.

We just got off the Pearl (our kids are 6 and 9). They enjoyed Kids Club. They especially liked the nights they got to go to the shows. They say they prefer the RCI kids club, but I didn't hear anyone complaining about going on NCL and several times they asked to go. They didn't like the sessions that were TV based as my kids don't watch much TV and so the Sponge Bob session and the Survivor session (does the average 6-9 year old really watch Survivor?!) were kind of busts, but the PJ party was anxiously anticipated and all in all they had fun.

We were never asked to show ID or sea pass cards, but my kids wouldn't leave with anyone else and no adults were allowed in the area. I felt like my kids were safe and they had fun.

My kids really enjoyed the Kids zone area to eat, although half way through the cruise there was never any food there. And the water slide was a huge hit. They tried rock climbing (one day the guy was really good with the kids and seemed to really enjoy helping them!), bowling, and Wii on the big screen (especially fun since we don't have any game consoles at home).

We were pleased with NCL in terms of being family oriented.

Mine do! DD is 5, DS is 10 and we all watch Survivor religiously every week. They both LOVE it!!!

My 9 y.o. also won't miss it. It's her favorite show- she also likes Amazing Race and Top Gear (BBC America). She is rooting for Ozzie this time but I think his days are numbered.
