Rome-Civitavecchia transport?

Recommended Posts

I've booked a cruise on the Navigator leaving from Citavecchia on Sunday, July 27.

I'm looking for flights. I'll arrive the day before the cruise, but going home, I would like to leave the same day as disembarking.

How much time to I need to allow? If the scheduled time for the ship to arrive in Citavecchia is 5 am, would I be able to get to the Rome airport FCO in time for a 2:15 pm flight on Sunday, Aug 3?

Thanks for your help!

Almost certainly.

I'm deducing that you don't want to use the cruise line's transport.

So your best bet is a train to Rome Termini station, then one to the airport. I'd say the total transit time, ship to check-in counter would be about 3 hours. Check http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/query.exe/en?L=profi& for train times.

Road transport into Rome is much less punctual.
