Radelle Posted April 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2008 I will be going on the 4/19 Gem cruise from New York to Barcelona. According to the list, the sushi bar is $20 per person, but on the NCL website, the sushi is a la carte. This is confusing as you either eat a whole meal for $20 or you eat a la carte. I really like sushi and I read on one of the threads that it is really fresh. So does anybody know how it works at the sushi bar and whether it's worth it? cruise4kicks Posted April 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Freda, I came over on the Gem T/A from Barcelona to Boston. :D Several of us went to the sushi bar one day for lunch and had our fill -- and then some -- for the one price. I don't know why NCL calls it a la carte' when it's a flat charge? But trust me -- it's one charge for all you can eat. You'll find that they probably don't have the same variety as you're used to at a land-based restaurant (e.g., no uni), but what they do have is quality. Enjoy!!!
