Mattress topper question

Since I've read that the beds on the Golden are quite hard, I am interested in the mattress topper. Is this the egg crate type or high density foam?

the egg crate type. You can request one from your room steward upon arrival.

They go fast so be sure to ask right away if you would like one.

I got off the Diamond Princess today.

 

My bed as well as my 13 family members' beds had the egg carton mattress. However, I read in an earlier post that I had to submit my request by fax. I sent my fax to Princess directly on Wednesday morning prior to my/our Saturday sailing. When I/we arrived on Saturday all of our beds had the requested mattress. I must admit, it made a difference.

 

I suggest you contact Princess at the (800) number and request the fax number for purposes of your request. I would give it to you, however, I have the number at the office and well I am not due back at office until Tuesday.

We were on the Golden in August and I was prepared to ask for the toppers, but, honestly, I didn't think they were that bad. I was very comfortable for the whole trip.
