April 30th - Grand Parade Day 2

We will be in St. Maarten on April 30th which I understand to be a Grand Parade Day. We are on Mariner, arriving at 8:30 and departing at 8:00. We had originally planned on renting a car but given potential traffic issues we are second guessing that plan. Are we better off taking a taxi and staying close like Little Divi or is Orient still doable? How about a stop at Maho for the planes?

We are also there on the 30th. I think you will be okay with your plans. I did read the town will close all shops at 2:00. I don't know where you would be bringing the car back to, but I'm sure it would be okay. We are just doing Orient Beach, and plan on being back around 3:00 for some of the parade. Our ship leaves at 6:00, so we needed to be back a little early. Have a great cruise.
