Inexpensive Miami Hotel?

I just booked the River Park Hotel and Suites...read some reviews, mostly good. We figure we are only there for one night and need 6 rooms and at $100/room it seemed better than paying over 200/room. We certainly can put up with a little less luxury for one night. Anyone else stay there? What kind of transportation is there from the airport to the hotels? I understand this hotel has a free shuttle to the port. We are not going until December 28th so we certainly have time to change or cancel this reservation if better suggestions come my way. We stayed there and loved it! It was close to Bayside and had the free people mover right outside. The shuttle to the port is $6 a person and it was simple and quick.

I don't know anything about airport shuttles because we flew into FLL and then took the GO Shuttle.
