What do they serve at the tea party?

I've found they serve different items on different cruises. I've had the cucumber sandwiches, watercress sandwiches, shrimp salad sandwiches, salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, mini-cream puffs, scones and lemon curd, petit fours, mints, and more that I've forgotten. They have a great variety of teas you can choose from. My favorite is "Blue Eyes", which you rarely see in most Tea Rooms. I never miss Tea Time on Carnival sea days.:)

I was wondering if tea time is covered by the cruise fare or is their an out-of pocket expense? Also, how often are tea times on a typical 5-7 day cruise? Do they occur only on Sea Days? Thanks!

I walked by tea time and wonderd the exact same thing ...Cotton?

Tea times occur on Sea Days. You will find them listed in the capers. Normally mid-afternoon (3-ish).

It is part of your cruise fare. Go and enjoy the lovely teas, snacks, and music.

thanks jenscruise ... didn't see your post

Afternoon tea is included with your cruise fare. Our last Glory cruise had 2 sea days, so there were 2 teas. Both were 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Ivory Club.

I'd been wanting to check out the tea time and finally managed it on the Fascination when I went with my Mom & sister. I dropped my mom off so she could listen to the piano music and I dashed off to the casino for a few minutes. I came back to get her and one of the waiters brought over a tray with some really yummy pastries (these weren't available anywhere else on the ship). I must admit I had several:o

We enjoyed the tea aboard the Miracle twice last month - it was very nice and yummy. We didn't really know what we were doing with the tea the first day, but did much better the second day. The smoked salmon with cream cheese sandwiches were the best!

May I suggest that you arrive on time for the tea or you might not get a seat. The last two teas I have been to were unable to seat all the people because it was so crowded. Some people that arrive 10 to 15 min

late were mad because there were no more seats.

That's nice to know. Thanks!

Arriving early is best, but there is usually time for a second wave and maybe a third. A number of people don't stay longer than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea and scarf down some calories before moving on.

But it is best when you are in the first wave and not waiting for a table like in a diner.
