cathyz Posted April 20, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2008 Oh my goodness . . . that is so special! How in the world did a little eight month old puppy live on his own for so long? He was taken care of by the local islanders (I saw a different story in the local news).
ladycaveat Posted April 20, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 20, 2008 That is why I posted it. As a BIG pet (a.k.a. family member) lover, I give all involved huge credit and gratitude. Me too . . . I'm sixty-one years old and there has not been one day in my life that I have been owed by a dog. Tiki, my soon-to-be ten year-old Westie, is so precious to me . . . I honestly don't know if I would have been able to leave her behind. God Bless those that rescued this puppy . . .

dem1958 Posted April 21, 2008 #10 Share Posted April 21, 2008 That is so great to hear. I would have loved to be on that ship. I probably would have tried to take him home myself. It's so good to see people finally realize how important our animals are to us.
