aqusis Posted April 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2004 If you book online, put in ORLAND as the promo code...using that I got rates of 89$ as opposed to $99-109 for other rates of the same time. emmy Posted April 2, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Trigger, I believe you are on the same sailing of Mariner that I am on...May 16 We have had a room booked at Radisson for about 7 months and was quoted a rate of $85.00 + taxes. We are flying into Orlando day before and do not need a place to park a vehicle. Were you able to secure a good price? Hope so! lrcno Posted April 3, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 3, 2004 aqusis (or anyone who'd know), does the ORLAND promo rate also include the parking? I noticed they have a cruise and parking package for $119. And when I checked just their regular rates they have an "internet saver rate" for $85/night. Would I have to pay extra to leave my vehicle and use the shuttle if I don't book their cruise/park package? geri west Posted April 3, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2004 JUST CHECKED THE RADISSON FOR RATES. I NOTICED THE PRICE LISTED RATE, PLUS TAXES, PLUS GRATUITY? I HAD NEVER NOTICED A GRATUITY ADDED.
bpear1600 Posted April 3, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 3, 2004 How do they know whether you left a car there or not? Do they check the grassy lot? I know people who have simply taken the lowest rate and left their car in the paved lot. We paid the higher rate but I'm seriously wondering how many do. Bob Go UConn! Beat Dook! 17 cruises and counting. Loved the Norway in the 80's! Liked the Mariner of the Seas better!
lrcno Posted April 3, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 3, 2004 I'm assuming they'd know if you used their shuttle to go back and forth to the ships. Would they know if you took a cab? 5/24/04 Sovereign of the Seas
Sonshiner Posted April 3, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 3, 2004 I used Priceline to book the Radisson for $35 last October. I was still entitled to get the free parking. lrcno Posted April 3, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 3, 2004 Sonshiner, you said you were entitled to the parking but did you also get to use the shuttle? Sorry if I'm "beating a dead horse" but I want to make sure before I go that rout. Thanks 5/24/04 Sovereign of the Seas
laginog Posted April 3, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 3, 2004 You can leave your car there with any rate. You don't have to book the special cruise parking rate. Don't pay extra for it!! gracieH Posted April 4, 2004 #12 Share Posted April 4, 2004 You sign up for the shuttle and they check you off as you get on it. The first one leaves at 11:00. You can and put your name on the list. We stayed there in March and left our car.
Sonshiner Posted April 4, 2004 #13 Share Posted April 4, 2004 As the above couple of posters said, the parking and the shuttle come with any rate that you pay. The Front Desk staff will ask you when you are checking in what shuttle time you desire. Counting down the days until our Alaskan cruise on the Vision!
