Wildkittn3 Posted April 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I'm headed on a Mariner honeymoon cruise on 5/30. The Radisson is already booked up due to Memorial Day weekend. Any other nice hotel suggestions? There used to be a website listing reviews of RCCL port hotels....anyone know it? Thanks!

Bellalago Breeze Posted April 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2004 The Inn at Cocoa Beach is also a beautiful place. It looks like a bed & breakfast with large rooms. The best part is it's right on the beach!
torpeedo Posted April 2, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2004 We've also stayed at the Hilton & Doubletree in Cocoa Beach. Both are oceanfront with beach access. sportsterjohn Posted April 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2004 We stayed in the Hilton last Oct. It was pretty nice and was ocean front. They will also let you keep your car there for your cruise duration. NCL Sea 3/03 RCCL Sovereign 10/03 NCL Dream 3/7/2004
Cruzntime Posted April 2, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Has anyone stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Cocoa Beach? They supposedly let you leave your car there as well and they are close (~200yds)from the beach. I would also like to know how often the shuttle service they use frequents their establishment. Cheers. • RCCI Mariner of the Seas - We're getting closer... We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Cocoa Beach. We were allowed to keep our car there during the cruise. The shuttle service to the port was $3 per person each way. It is a contract shuttle that services Marriott Courtyard. I am not sure about the frequency of the service to the Courtyard. The Courtyard staff and shuttle service drivers were the best. The Courtyard is in like-new condition and the room rate was very reasonable.
Sue C. Posted April 3, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 3, 2004 We are going to stay at the Clarion Hotel Kennedy Space Center. For $129 (I believe they said that's including tax) (2 adults/2 kids), you get one night's accommodation, 2 free drinks, you can leave your car there for the week, and you get shuttled to and from the cruise dock and there's free continental breakfast. http://www.clarionspacecoast.com/ We've never been there before, but hey, it's only one night. cruiselovinfamily Posted April 3, 2004 #13 Share Posted April 3, 2004 I am grateful to all of you for these suggestions since we have an upcoming cruise planned on the Mariner. For those of you who have already used these hotels and their shuttle service, can you provide information on the service - cost, do you have to arrange it ahead of time, time you got to the pier, time it took to get to the pier, how their pick-up service was post cruise, etc... I have seen many postings on the horrible traffic conditions at Port Canaveral and am wondering how these shuttle services are handling it. Has anyone had a rental car they dropped off before embarkation and used the rental car company's shuttle service? Those of you who stayed at these hotels - did you fly into Orlando? What transportation did you use from Orlando to these hotels on the coast? ruttie Posted April 4, 2004 #15 Share Posted April 4, 2004 I have had friends family that used the inn at cocoa beach and they love it they will never stay any where else again it is a very nice place and if it is your homeymoon I would recommend it they do offer a shuttle to teh port I would suggest renting a car to the hotel turning it in having the car place take you to the hotel then hotel shuttle to port then car rental or transfers after the cruise. Teh Inn does offer some sort of cruise package you should call them or go to the web sight and check it out have not used it so cnnot help you out there. But it is a really nice place to stay for a night not too expensive and beach front just make sure you get a room above the first floor wherever you go if it is beachfront as we have a natural barrier and you can not see the beach from 1st floor. Sue C. Posted April 4, 2004 #16 Share Posted April 4, 2004 rutti -- Thanks for the heads up on the Clarion Hotel Kennedy Space Center. I called and cancelled our reservation. I am now booked at the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach with an oceanview room at an AARP rate of $121 (Art's shuttle service extra). The other hotels mentioned were all booked.
