We are in the AE Penthouse. What are the perks? Do you get to board early? How much do you tip the butler? We are in the aft on the back, my husband was thrilled when he talked to the upsell fairy.

Husband wants to order me flowers for the room. Was wondering if this is included with the AE suite?

Any information from anyone who's been in a suite. We are first time suites.

We were in the romance suite on the Pearl and received many perks. My husband's favorite was eating steak and eggs for breakfast at Cagneys. Guests in suites are able to eat breakfast and lunch at Cagneys for no additional charge. The steaks were delicious, you could cut them with your butter knife; he even ordered 2 steaks for a few of the breakfasts; I loved their french toast. We also had a coffee/cappachino machine in our room that ground the beans and brewed the coffee all at once, I still miss this coffee! We were given a bottle of champagne, flowers and fresh fruit, plus appetizers daily. We also ordered the Cagney's breakfast one morning for room service. I love desserts; our butler brought us a few desserts each evening "we requested this" and there was nothing better than sitting on the balcany on the aft of the ship having dessert and coffee listening to the wake of the boat and viewing the stars. I miss it!! I also loved the soft robe provided, "I even purchased one to bring home" and the makeup vanity which is seperate from the large bathroom. We had a very soft bed with fluffy comforter and cushioned lounge chairs on the balcany. We put two of the chairs from the table set out on the balcany so we had the option of sitting or lounging. Our Concierge made our dinner reservations and we didn't have any problem getting our restaurant of choice and time. When tendering to port, suite guests can tender at any time they want to, saving much time! I am spoiled now, I would really miss the many perks our suite provided. Have fun!!!

I called NCL and asked about the upsell. The gal told me that they will not call you directly if you booked through an agent, be it online or otherwise. They will, however, contact the agent and make the offer through them. I called the online agency we booked through and the guy said that they do indeed get calls from NCL and they immediately pass the offer on. Why wouldn't they, it means more money for them! :-)

I would disagree on this one due to personal experience - maybe a fluke but here's what happened to us: It seems like I'm always in charge of booking cruises when we go with a friend. Our last NCL cruise, I booked through an online TA for both couples using my email address. I received an email directly from NCL wanting to upsell our friend from mini to suite.

I think the only thing for sure is that nothing's for sure.....
