Which room on Coral to Alaska?

Hello everyone,

I am taking an Alaskan cruisetor in June '05 on the Coral Princess. I have the option of 2 different rooms on the ship. The 1st choice is on the Baja Deck (rm703) on the starboard side of the ship with an uncovered balcony. The 2nd is on the Caribe deck (rm 624) on the port side of the ship. I'm told that the balconies on the Caribe deck are larger.

My question is, which room would be better? Choose the starboard side with the better view but the smaller, uncovered balcony, or the portside with the larger, partially covered balcony? Will I be disappointed with the views if I choose the port side? I am a 1st time cruiser and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!:)

I asked this same question back in May..we had a portside cabin on a Northbound trip and I was told starboard is best for Northbound and port best for Southbound.

I was more than happy with my portside cabin...had great views and no complaints. I really don't think you can go wrong in Alaska either way :)
